Scanveil respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, stored, disclosed, and protected when you use the Scanveil mobile application.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on the features you use, Scanveil may collect account information, QR code information, scan history, favourites, app preferences, diagnostic information, crash reports, and synchronization metadata.

3. QR Code Information

When you scan, import, save, favourite, or synchronize a QR code, Scanveil may process the information contained in that QR code, such as website links, text, phone numbers, email addresses, Wi-Fi details, contact details, document links, or location information.

4. Camera and Photos

Scanveil requests camera access to scan QR codes. If you choose to scan a QR code from an image, Scanveil may request access to selected photos or media.

5. Local Storage

Scanveil may store scan history, favourites, parsed QR information, preferences, and synchronization metadata locally on your device.

6. Cloud Backup and Synchronization

If you enable cloud backup or synchronization, eligible data may be uploaded to cloud services associated with your account. This may include scan history, favourite records, QR code content, QR code type, and synchronization metadata.

7. Third-Party Services

Scanveil may use third-party services such as Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Firebase Storage, Firebase Crashlytics, Google Analytics for Firebase, and Google Sign-In.

8. How We Use Information

We use information to provide QR scanning features, maintain history and favourites, authenticate users, synchronize data, create backups, restore data, diagnose crashes, improve reliability, and enhance the app experience.

9. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. Information may be processed by service providers or shared when you choose to open, export, copy, or share QR code content with another application.

10. Data Retention

Locally stored data remains on your device until you delete it, clear app data, or uninstall the app. Cloud data may remain associated with your account until deleted through the app or through an account-deletion request.

11. Account and Data Deletion

You may request deletion of your Scanveil account and associated cloud data by contacting us or using the account deletion option inside the app where available.

12. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect information. However, no application, network, database, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

13. Children’s Privacy

Scanveil is not directed to children under 13 or a higher minimum age where required by local law.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will include a revised “Last updated” date.
